If you’re reading this then quite likely you are having, or think you are having, a HDMI cable problem such as I have had too. This could be anything from a Green Picture on your TV to not enough room at the back of your HD device.
Everything you need to know on setting up the Oculus CV1
Hi everyone, I have just received my 40th Birthday present in the form of the Oculus Rift CV1. I have now successfully set it up and put it in use. There were some hurdles on the way, a few really dumb but in searching forums and threads in Google I noticed others were having the same problems. Therefore I am writing this FAQ guide to help others, such as yourself if you are reading this.
How to set up a website email address using Hostgator and Windows Live
Let’s get straight to it. You have a website and you want an email address that shows the same web address.
For example you have a domain called www.mycoolwebsite.com and you want an email address like email@example.com.
This tutorial assumes you already have the website live and hosted and that you have access to your hosting control panel. The example I will now reveal is how to set up an email address for a website (using hostgator) and configure the very handy Windows Live Mail to send and receive emails with ease.
To cut a long story short, I purchased an ex windows 7 key from a retired PC and downloaded an ISO to match the corresponding Operating System. I burned the image to disc then entered the bios of the PC awaiting the installation. I set one of my CD/DVD drives as the first bootable device and put the disc in it.
Apply for a Littlewoods or Very Credit Limit Increase Online
If you are a member of a Shop Direct account such as Littlewoods or Very. Then time from time you will see something you want or need which costs more than what is available in your current credit limit. Some people, such as myself, would rather apply online instead of phoning in. So the question is, how do I apply for a credit limit increase online?
The current cost of a £50 Steam Wallet Gift Card is £47.99 by using the method below by using the 5% discount you get it for £45.59.
Hi all. This is how I got a £50 Steam Wallet Code for only £44.64.
During the latest Steam Sale I discovered a popular new game I was interested in at a discounted price. I made up my mind to purchase it but I wanted it even cheaper. So I began my quest to find a Steam Wallet Coupon along with my good friend Google.
After several minutes of searching the outcome looked bleak but I decided to persevere and it finally paid off with me saving more than 10% on a £50 wallet topup.
The method will probably work in most other first world countries as the site seems to be international.
Located in the UK’s North West there is a new cake design company rising. It goes by the name of Edna’s Cakeology who’s website www.ednascakeology.co.uk will reveal to you some really cool creations. The company is run by a woman with the name (You guessed it) Edna! And the company slogan is ‘Expressions With Confection’. Now she has taken the plunge in an attempt to run a successful business, passing two tests including a food hygiene inspection. Now to the cakes, here follow some samples of her work:-
In rural areas Natwest provide a mobile van service to places far from an ordinary branch. From time to time the hours of service for each particular town and village do change.
As the natwest website is still showing the old times and to make Natwest customers aware of the changes, I will now list the new times for residents of LLANBERISBENLLECHCEMAESLLANERCHYMEDD and RHOSNEIGR
After a little over a week’s usage, I will now review the Dynamode KMG9000-W Gaming Keyboard and Mouse.
Having purchased a bare bone PC recently, I needed a keyboard and mouse to accompany it. Initially I was interested in a mechanical keyboard but the price of such just didn’t seem justifiable. Therefore I began my quest for a more reasonably priced wireless gaming set. Funnily enough, the Dynamode KMG9000-W Set also bothered me with the cost but this time because it was so cheap. This made me scan the Internet for reviews to help me make my mind up. After a little research I found minimal amounts of information and thought “What the heck, I will buy it and review it myself” and that is where we are now.
KMG9000-W Wireless Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Review
Upon receiving the package I found it to be professionally boxed and appealing to look at. I opened it and removed the keyboard and mouse, both nice to look at. I checked for what batteries were required and found the keyboard uses one AA battery while the mouse took 2 AAA’s. The batteries were not supplied. I then took to connecting it to my PC. I found the dongle tucked away in the bottom part of the mouse. I took it out put it in the computer then booted up my PC. Both the keyboard and mouse worked immediately and flawlessly.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The method below does NOT work. The only was to change your backup payment method on the new Paypal site is to NOT use it until your latest payment has fully cleared then remove your card.
In this post I assume each user knows how to add their new payment method to Paypal. This post is about how to remove your existing backup method for payment, which will in turn allow you to change your backup payment method.
If like me you have a credit card registered with your Paypal account which is being used as a backup payment source and you want it removed then keep reading.
Basically I was concerned with a credit card debt and cut up the card so I could not use it anymore. The problem arose when I realised I had registered the particular Mastercard on my Paypal account. As I didn’t want to be tempted to use it via paypal my choice was to remove it from my Paypal account completely. It didn’t happen as planned which I will go into more detail about later. However, for some this method will work fine.
I have personally completed a Quest to see just how many MB or GB online gaming actually uses up. After originally googling it I found mixed results, but due to a friend considering signing up to a mobile broadband package with a data limit I put it to the test. I have a tethering plan with my mobile phone provider which allows me to use my mobile phone has a portable wifi hotspot. My first stage of the test, upon arriving at my friends house, was to perform a speed test in the area. I used the Ookla app on my phone and got a download speed of over 3 Mbps and an upload speed of less than 0.5Mbps. That might not sound too impressive but it was actually more than 3 times faster than his landline broadband due to living in a rural area.
I wrote this post as a troubleshooting guide for anyone having problems running Steam games on Windows 10. As you read on you may well find that the problem is not related to your operating system at all but just in case I have included a few tips for you to try in resolving any issues you may be having. Leading up to what actually worked for me. So I decided to finally boot up Bioshock Infinite in my Steam account, having already completed the first two instalments. However, to my horror after installing the mandatory steam files the game just crashed every time I tried to load it. Therefore, my first port of call was Google where I found an article saying I needed to uncheck ‘Enable the steam Overlay’ in steam. Which I did but it had no effect. I went back to Google and saw an obvious choice due to recently upgrading to Windows 10. The choice was to set the game executable to run in compatibility with Windows 8. As I know Bioshock Infinite worked for me before the upgrade as I had preciously given it a test run. Again, no effect.
If you want to try the former methods you can do so like this:-
The Isle of Anglesey, known as Ynys Mon locally, is an Island off the coast of North Wales. It is connected to the mainland via two bridges called Menai Bridge and Britannia Bridge. Although Anglesey is an Island it still has a substantial area of land mass and would take days to circumnavigate on foot. During the summer many people flock to various parts of this popular tourist destination for their holidays. Why visit Anglesey? If you like a seaside vacation, hiking, exploring historical sites or even fishing then there is something there for you. Continue reading to find out more.
Feeling hungry? Well if you live in Holyhead, North Wales then I highly recommend the Pizza Takeaway called Pizzeria La Gondola.
Location: 7 Williams Street, Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey LL65 1RN – Phone number – 01407 769919
From personal experience I have found this particular Pizzeria wipes the floor with top brands such as Dominos, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. These pizzas are professionally made and best eaten straight out of the oven to get the maximum tastiness factor. Continue reading →
Also spelled Search Engine Optimisation but generally known as SEO is a method of getting your content as high up the search engines as possible. There are many techniques for achieving this but today I’m going to talk about backlinks, which by no means is the least important – As a matter of fact I have found it to be the most important!
BT TV consists of multiple choices. The first choice is to opt only for the free TV channels (known as TV Starter) through a supplied Youview box. For this you will need a TV aerial system already installed to pick up Freeview channels. Also the Youview box you will get will be unable to record TV programmes (Unless you subscribe to BT Infinity).
Before providing the troubleshooting that worked for me, first I will answer two common questions about BT Television.
The first question is – Can I get BT TV without an Aerial? The answer is a big YES. Although you won’t be able to watch live freeview channels, you can still get the On Demand and premium channels using your Internet connection. You may need to do a software update for the Internet channels to appear, as did I.
The second common question I have come across is – Can I use Powerline Adaptors to connect my BT Youview Box to the Internet? The answer is again YES but if you run into any problems with the setup keep reading.
