Duty Free Prices at Palma Airport in Majorca Spain

What are the prices of Cigarettes and Alcohol at Mallorca Airport and are they cheaper?

During a visit to Alcudia this month, June 2022, I was interested to see whether I could get some duty free Alcohol and Cigarettes at bargain price. Either on resort or at the Palma Airport Duty Free Shop.

My first stop was a Tabac shop in Alcudia. The prices varied but almost all 200 sleeve of cigarettes were in the 40s and 50s euros. The cheapest being 41.50 Euros. I didn’t buy any and decided to wait until I got to Palma Airport Duty Free. I did buy a bottle of vape e-liquid though which was an expensive 5 euros for 10ml!

Next stop was a quick look at Alcohol prices in a local SPAR in Alcudia. The prices weren’t too bad. Especially the large cans of San Miguel which were less than 1 euro each. The Spirits were also reasonably priced in the SPAR, and whilst I didn’t do a good comparison to the Duty free prices, nothing seemed vast in price difference.

Are Cigarette Prices Cheaper at the Mallorca Duty Free Shop?

Finally, I checked the Cigarette prices in Majorca Airport Duty Free Shop. They came in 2 prices one for those travelling within the EU and one for those travelling outside of the EU. I for example was travelling to the UK outside of the EU. The later being significantly cheaper. Despite this the cheapest I found was 41.40 euros for a 200 sleeve. A saving of just 10 cents from the Tobac shop!

So is it worth it buying your cigarettes from Palma Airport or better at your resort? Well if you are travelling from Mallorca / Majorca to another EU destination then you should definitely buy them local and NOT at the Airport as you will save lots of euros. If travelling outside the EU. i.e to UK then either option will be fine but I would recommend getting them at the duty free. Not to save 10c but just for the convenience of not having to carry them around and saving holiday time from being wasted in looking for a Tobac shop.

Things to do in Anglesey

The Isle of Anglesey, known as Ynys Mon locally, is an Island off the coast of North Wales. It is connected to the mainland via two bridges called Menai Bridge and Britannia Bridge. Although Anglesey is an Island it still has a substantial area of land mass and would take days to circumnavigate on foot. During the summer many people flock to various parts of this popular tourist destination for their holidays. Why visit Anglesey? If you like a seaside vacation, hiking, exploring historical sites or even fishing then there is something there for you. Continue reading to find out more.

How To Apply for Spouse Visa UK | UK Spouse Visa Requirements

**Important Update 2016** New rules, imposed by the Tory Government, include a minimum income threshold of £18,600 per year. That is according to a recent ITV news programme. Meaning that the spouse that is resident in the UK must have an income of at least that amount. I have not read up in more detail but I wouldn’t give up on it. If your income threshold is lower than that then I would suggest getting supporting letters from friends and family members offering financial support.

Since July 9th 2013, the rules for applying to come to the UK as a partner have changed slightly. I will go into more detail about that shortly.

First I must mention that the Spouse visas include the following categories.

1. husband | 2. wife | 3. civil partner | 4. unmarried partner | 5. Same-sex partner

It can be viewed as more a partner visa than just a husband or wife visa.

The sponsor inviting their partner must be a British citizen OR someone settled in the UK with leave to remain.
