Today I am going to advise you on how to get up-to-date Antivirus software at a rock bottom price. This should apply to all major Internet Security packages from the likes of Mcafee, Norton, Kaspersky and so on.
As you will be aware, each year a new Antivirus or Internet Security package is released with the year it was made. For example Mcafee Live Safe 2017 or Norton Internet Security 2017.
Whilst, yes, they have some upgraded features but you probably didn’t know you can nearly always get the same level of protection at a much lower price.
If you were to buy Mcafee Internet security 2015 like here ===> HERE
Everything you need to know on setting up the Oculus CV1
Hi everyone, I have just received my 40th Birthday present in the form of the Oculus Rift CV1. I have now successfully set it up and put it in use. There were some hurdles on the way, a few really dumb but in searching forums and threads in Google I noticed others were having the same problems. Therefore I am writing this FAQ guide to help others, such as yourself if you are reading this.
How to set up a website email address using Hostgator and Windows Live
Let’s get straight to it. You have a website and you want an email address that shows the same web address.
For example you have a domain called www.mycoolwebsite.com and you want an email address like email@example.com.
This tutorial assumes you already have the website live and hosted and that you have access to your hosting control panel. The example I will now reveal is how to set up an email address for a website (using hostgator) and configure the very handy Windows Live Mail to send and receive emails with ease.
To cut a long story short, I purchased an ex windows 7 key from a retired PC and downloaded an ISO to match the corresponding Operating System. I burned the image to disc then entered the bios of the PC awaiting the installation. I set one of my CD/DVD drives as the first bootable device and put the disc in it.
I wrote this post as a troubleshooting guide for anyone having problems running Steam games on Windows 10. As you read on you may well find that the problem is not related to your operating system at all but just in case I have included a few tips for you to try in resolving any issues you may be having. Leading up to what actually worked for me. So I decided to finally boot up Bioshock Infinite in my Steam account, having already completed the first two instalments. However, to my horror after installing the mandatory steam files the game just crashed every time I tried to load it. Therefore, my first port of call was Google where I found an article saying I needed to uncheck ‘Enable the steam Overlay’ in steam. Which I did but it had no effect. I went back to Google and saw an obvious choice due to recently upgrading to Windows 10. The choice was to set the game executable to run in compatibility with Windows 8. As I know Bioshock Infinite worked for me before the upgrade as I had preciously given it a test run. Again, no effect.
If you want to try the former methods you can do so like this:-
Forget bridge mode, forget static IP addresses and forget wifi repeaters. This is the quickest and easiest method to use a secondary modem/router to expand your Wifi coverage by configuring it as an access point.
For this tutorial I am using a TP-Link TD-W8961ND as my secondary router. It is a 300mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router.
This method should be very similar on all modern routers.
Ok, my friend and I have just successfully linked steam accounts and are now able to share our games with one and other. The process was not as simple as first thought but after a lot of looking around we finally figured it out.
First off, you and your friend must join the steam family sharing group. You can find the group through googling ‘steam family sharing group’.
Next you must login to each others accounts. You can do this step over the phone like we did. Continue reading →
Recently I was fortunate enough to buy myself a Sony Playstation Vita Console. My Son has not put it down since day one. However, for trusting a toddler with a piece of technology I began to pay for my choice. Jed, my son, has a habit of creating folders for each and every vita app I have installed. So when it’s my turn on the vita I just see the vita icons as bubbles with a tiny picture of each app. Continue reading →
When setting up your Windows 8 PC or Laptop, it is likely you were asked to input your Microsoft login details such as a Hotmail or Windows Live email account. Now every time you start your PC you have to login using the password to those details. There was a pretty straightforward way to remove that feature on Windows 8 and there is a slightly different way to do it with Windows 8.1 which was released today.
Please follow the step my step guide below to successfully rid yourself of the Microsoft login on Microsoft Windows 8.1.
In Windows 8 (and 8.1) there are two home screens, the desktop and app screens. This method should work on either but I will show you the tutorial from desktop mode along with screenshots. Continue reading →
It’s that time of year again and the Steam Summer Sale 2013 is on our doorstep. Sorry to my readers if the post title sounded like a news leak, but just as you may be searching for the answer, I myself have too. Most of what I read states it will likely begin on a Thursday, but not July 4 as that is the American Independence day and a big portion of Steam customers will not be home. The truth is though that you should keep checking into Steam daily and not miss out! I have only experienced 3 of the major sales, and the Steam Summer Sale 2013 will be my second of this time of year, but I have learned a lot and I will give you some tips below. Continue reading →
So you have a wireless printer but can’t find it on your Computer or Laptop?
Well the first thing to do is ensure your PC or Laptop has WIFI because if not then it is impossible to connect the printer without a printer cable. In all likeliness though your computer does have WIFI and you still cannot connect. Therefore this is what you need to do. You cannot connect direct from PC or Laptop to your wireless printer. If you could then you would have neighbours discovering your printer on their computers. No, what you must do first is associate your printer with your home network. I.e your router! There are multiple ways to do this but only 2 I will mention. Continue reading →
The chances are that you have gone on holiday or on a business trip abroad and have unsuccessfully tried to access your Netflix account. The reason is because Netflix only have broadcasting rights to certain countries and cannot allow streaming to people outside their coverage zone.
Is there a way to watch Netflix abroad?
Yes there is and it’s a legal way! By using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). There are many companies that provide a VPN service one of which is boxpn who offer an annual service for less than $4 a month. Continue reading →
