How Much Data Does Online Gaming Use?

I have personally completed a Quest to see just how many MB or GB online gaming actually uses up. After originally googling it I found mixed results, but due to a friend considering signing up to a mobile broadband package with a data limit I put it to the test. I have a tethering plan with my mobile phone provider which allows me to use my mobile phone has a portable wifi hotspot. My first stage of the test, upon arriving at my friends house, was to perform a speed test in the area. I used the Ookla app on my phone and got a download speed of over 3 Mbps and an upload speed of less than 0.5Mbps. That might not sound too impressive but it was actually more than 3 times faster than his landline broadband due to living in a rural area.

Before providing the troubleshooting that worked for me, first I will answer two common questions about BT Television.

The first question is – Can I get BT TV without an Aerial? The answer is a big YES. Although you won’t be able to watch live freeview channels, you can still get the On Demand and premium channels using your Internet connection. How to Configure a Secondary Router to Use as a Wireless Access Point

Forget bridge mode, forget static IP addresses and forget wifi repeaters. This is the quickest and easiest method to use a secondary modem/router to expand your Wifi coverage by configuring it as an access point.

So you have a wireless printer but can’t find it on your Computer or Laptop?

Well the first thing to do is ensure your PC or Laptop has WIFI because if not then it is impossible to connect the printer without a printer cable. In all likeliness though your computer does have WIFI and you still cannot connect. Therefore this is what you need to do. You cannot connect direct from PC or Laptop to your wireless printer. If you could then you would have neighbours discovering your printer on their computers. No, what you must do first is associate your printer with your home network. I.e your router! There are multiple ways to do this but only 2 I will mention.
